The Source Code of Conduct

Spirituality is being practised in a large variety of ways and interpretations. The Source Society recognises that we cannot satisfy everybody’s needs and demands but encourages respect among our fellow men and women for each others beliefs and life style. However, conflict lies hidden in the slightest misunderstanding or interpretation of subjects covered by the Source. Therefore some guidelines are needed to avoid these conflicts from festering.

First of all, despite our many gifts, we always and foremost should recognise that we are human with all its strengths and weaknesses.

The Source will never give examples of the negative aspects found in the “spiritual and paranormal bodies” in order to make an individual uncomfortable or “under attack” with intent. However, we are not held responsible or liable for misinterpretation by the individual or “self-labelling” caused by the subjects under discussion. We will be open, at all times, to discuss your concerns.

We understand that at times, a member of the Source goes through financial hardship. The Source under such circumstances is willing to omit the fees due to the development Circle until such date that the individual’s financial situation has been improved. However, if financial hardship has not been brought to our attention, a member will be required to pay their fees and membership in a timely manner.

Behaviour during Circle be it healing, or development, or when conducting a private or public event, is expected to be appropriate, non disruptive and should be conveyed in a respectful manner. Humour and laughter is tolerated as it conducts positive energy, as long as it is conducted in a tasteful manner and not used to make fun of any individual present.

The Source Society is of the opinion that Spiritual development is like growing the “fruit” of a tree. Each developing member is like that fruit. The Circle Leader will be like the Gardener that seeks the right place and soil for the fruit to grow and prosper, in the hope it will take root and flower into a strong and healthy tree.

However, not all fruit, despite the care and attention will be able to take root. That fruit will start to fester and become rotten. Unfortunately, a gardener is not always on time to have noticed the fruit going “mouldy”. If it is noticed on time, the Gardener will do its utmost in order to wipe clean the mould and try different soil.

In the case of fruit having festered and gone rotten from the inside and has escaped the gardeners attention, the nature of such fruit is that it can infect the fruit sitting closest to the infection.

In such cases the rotten fruit will be removed from the nursery in the hope that another nursery might be able to nurture it and give it the soil it needs. Any other fruit that might have been “infected” will either be passed on to another nursery or has the chance to grow through the mould.

In other words negative opinion from a “General” perspective is respected, however The Source will not tolerate any verbal or physical negativity towards, the Leaders, Members and Non Members of the Source and people associated with the Source.

We hope that any person that finds themselves the target of such negativity or suspects that an individual is in the receipt of such negativity caused by another member, that it will be brought to the attention of one of the committee members. In this case the committee will do the utmost to rectify the situation, even if it means to ask an individual to seek development somewhere else.

In relation to this Code of Conduct the Leader reserves the right to exclude any member or associated person, who is deliberately in breach of the above and who, in their opinion, is acting in an inappropriate manner.
