Charity for Charity...

The Source Society is a 100% charitable Society. All our courses and teachings are integrated and we charge our members the shared cost of Hall Hire, Stationery and Refreshments.

The Source is often asked to attend chartible events by outside parties. Any charges made is donated to the charity after having taken out some of the costs made by the members (such as transport costs).
None get paid for what they teach.

All lectures are free, all we may ask to cover transport costs and a donation to a charity of choice and a cuppa coffee!

The concept has arisen from the point of view that Spirituality in all its forms ought to be available to everybody. In the olden days the people that were the spiritual Guru's of their time were looked after by their community and didn't have to charge anything as they were 'catered' for.
Times have changed and we do the utmost to only forward costs.

We aren't a registered Charity as we are simply to small and don't accumulate enough money in the space of a year to gain a charitable registration. The minimum is £1000 per year. As we don't accumulate money at all, we will never be able to reach these requirements. This means that we don't get charitable reductions either.

We aren't a 'Spiritualist' Organisation but Occult, this means that we would indeed differ on the methods of teaching and have different concepts to Spiritual Development, this has arisen through integrating amongst others Analystical Psychology, Philosophy, Gnosticism, Mythology, Wisdom from World Religion including the nature religions (Wicca and Pagansim).

The Source when enrolling new people, make their new students aware of the commitment required as we teach a way of live in its totallity and not just one aspect. The study of the mystical Qabalah is the main requirement for the foundation of the Society's teachings, other teachings include an understanding of the Hebrew alphabet, understanding to Ritual and basic concepts of Analytical Psychology, Mythology, Religion etc..

The first step of any new member to the Society is to take responsibility for themselves and an acceptance to not just their own strengths but also their weaknesses. We within the Society provide the path to make from the weaknesses another strength.

Therefore from a very early start we teach people that offense is only taken when you choose to do so. It is our insecure self that translates at times sensitive issues into a negative perspective. Those who are confident may not agree with a concept of a particular discussion or issue but will not feel offended. They may however choose to discuss their point of view in order to enrich the subject in hand and throw a light on this subject from a different perspective. Something that we in the Society encourage. We encourage 'Thought' and therefore at times ask 'thought provoking' questions. A refreshing new perspective helps us all to evolve. We take what has the best results and adept accordingly.
We accept students from any cultural or religious background, age, gender and sexuality.

All our work is done in a non agressive or competitive environment and most of our members do like a good (at times 'wicked') sense of humour, including 'humouring' ourselves.
None of the people that have attended the 'lectures and courses' have walked into the concept of the Society 'blind-folded or have felt offended in any way. Quite the opposite, they loved to use the chance to philosophise which in general has become a forgotten art.
We at times attract people who have advanced much in their chosen subjects, these people become the teacher's teachers as well as the students who may not be familiar with their chosen art.

Like any other Society, it is unfortunate that we cannot 'please' all, a simple fact of life.

All new members receive our Code of Conduct and have a 'cooling down' period in order to find within themselves if the Society is for them. Our members are from various backgrounds of spirituality. From Wiccans and Magicians to Spiritualists, Healers just to mention a few.

The foundation and the teachings of the Source don't change their calling but enriches their chosen path. (Wiccans remain wiccans, Mediums continue to specialise in Mediumship etc. etc.)
We have taken on to teach, something that was only taught to people with an 'Academic' background, we are now enabling everybody to benefit from these teachings.
